Grammy nominee Jazzmeia Horn and acclaimed trumpeter Jean Caze take the stage at the Sankofa Jazz Concert, celebrating 50 years of the Marshall L. Davis, Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. Taking place on on Saturday, April 5, this year's performance features Horn, who in addition to her multiple Grammy nominations, won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album. Praised by The New York Times as "among the most exciting young vocalists in jazz," Horn is known for her distinctive ability to blend traditional jazz elements with contemporary musical sensibilities.
The evening also showcases Jean Caze, a talented Haitian-American trumpeter and composer from Miami.
