Brunch in Miami – an opportunity to kick back, have fun and enjoy delicious food in one of the destination’s beautiful and distinctive neighborhoods. From laid-back spots with bottomless mimosas to al fresco brunches in swanky surroundings, Miami has a brunch for everyone.
Step into Zuma Miami at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Downtown Miami and you’ll be wowed by the soaring ceilings, modern design and elegant restraint of this Japanese-inspired space. But don’t worry: You'll feel appropriately indulgent once you dig into its contemporary Japanese brunch along with a bottomless beverage selection that includes champagne, Japanese sangria and some cocktails. Start with the sushi bar and the hot and cold buffet, then choose an individual entrée, such as jumbo tiger prawns, roasted lobster with shiso ponzu butter or miso black cod. You can also order from the “plates to share” menu, which includes premium nigiri, a caviar platter and Japanese Wagyu steak with black truffle. Save room for a deluxe dessert platter for the table. There are different price points for each package offered at this sumptuous brunch, which is one of the most decadent in town.
Visitors can find Miami’s only Asian Night Brunch at EAST Miami Hotel’s exclusive Hong Kong-inspired cocktail lounge Tea Room. Featuring five courses and two hours of free-flowing wine, champagne, prosecco, beer and sake, the nighttime brunch is timed with what would be morning in Hong Kong (12 hours ahead of Miami).
Brunching at Glass & Vine, overlooking Peacock Park in Coconut Grove, feels akin to eating in a secret garden. Here, you’ll nosh on creative fare by Giorgio Rapicavoli (of “Chopped” fame) surrounded by oak trees with views of Biscayne Bay in the distance. Start with watermelon salad. Ripe watermelon paired with arugula, feta cheese, kalamata olives, lemon and mint make it an undeniable star of the menu. Move on to brunch-themed plates, such as dulce de leche Belgian waffles, traditional eggs Benedict, corn flake-encrusted French toast, or steak and eggs. If you’re in the mood for a cocktail, sip on a Peacock Punch with rum, blanco Malbec, fresh lime and pineapple juices.
If you like your brunch with a view, Bayshore Club in Coconut Grove is your kind of place. The restaurant sits right next to Dinner Key Marina, so you can eat your meal while watching sailboats. The view isn’t the only thing that makes Bayshore Club worth checking out. Its brunch menu is packed with Miami-inspired dishes made with fresh ingredients. Try the lobster and cheese omelet, made with lemon butter-poached lobster, and your choice of crispy breakfast potatoes or grapefruit sprinkled with rum sugar. Pair brunch with a cocktail – many have nautical or tropical names to match the ambiance – such as the “Marina Reef,” made with tequila, chile liquor and mango puree, or “The Slip” with vodka, lychee, dill and lime.
The Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables is an enchanting, historic hotel with a Sunday brunch to match. Set in Coral Gables with its eclectic mix of architecture and canopied streets, Fontana’s courtyard brunch reflects the area’s traditional sophistication. Sip on bottomless bubbly and listen to live music while you ponder the extravagant choices that await you. You’ll find carving and breakfast stations along with seafood, sushi, pasta and dessert tables at this signature brunch experience.
When nightlife impresario David Grutman and Pharrell Williams (yes, that Pharrell) teamed up to create a restaurant in the chic Miami Design District, it was destined to be a star. You knew they were going to put together a dynamic destination serving up bold flavors. Swan is an exciting indoor-outdoor restaurant that’s as Instagrammable as it is delicious, and it features a menu built around locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients. Order decadent brunch items, such as lobster Benedict, guava and cheese French toast, or fried chicken and mac and cheese waffle.
