MICHELIN Selected: a high quality stay

An Art Deco hotel on Collins Avenue that promises retro glamor, a killer cocktail bar and a rooftop swimming pool ringed by beautiful, evenly sun-tanned people? It’s crazy, but it just might work. It’s true that the Gale isn’t exactly turning South Beach hospitality on its ear — then again, there’s no sense tampering with so successful a formula.

Located in the Art Deco District, the Gale South Beach is a boutique hotel with 87 guest rooms. Although it has a history that goes back to 1941, it was resurrected in 2012 in its current location, steps from the beach and walking distance to Lincoln Road, the Fillmore Miami Beach, the Miami Beach Convention Center, and Soundscape Park. Enjoy beachside amenities, a rooftop pool, and the Regent Rooftop cocktail bar, which hosts La Dolce Vita party every Friday and Saturday with DJ sets from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., drink specials, games and an amazing view of the sunset. Dolce Italian is their modern Italian cafe, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a special happy hour (Sunday - Thursday, 4-7 p.m.). On Friday and Saturday, enjoy live music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Check out the Regent Cocktail Club, with its 1940s style bar, speakeasy charm and live entertainment. Gale South Beach is committed to providing accessibility to all, with accessible access to the restaurant, fitness room, main elevator, restrooms, cocktail club, rooftop and sundeck. Check their events page to find out about special happy hour events and parties. Make your reservation with the hotel for the best rate.
