Fly Me To The Strawberry Moon

A collaboration between Pharrell Williams and David Grutman (who Rolling Stone magazine called one of the most-important people in electronic dance music), Strawberry Moon is a rooftop pool, lounge and restaurant at the goodtime hotel on Washington Avenue in South Beach. With a celeb-splashed entourage frequenting the destination, this promises to be a prime spot for parties and celeb sightings during Miami Art Week. Its weekend pool parties are helmed by major DJs for a wet and wild way to unwind after enjoying a fair.

Soho Beach House: Become A Member, Join The Party

A members-only club with a hotel, multiple restaurants and a buzzy pool scene, Soho Beach House in Mid Beach is known for its high-profile guests and parties. During Art Basel Miami Beach, it typically throws a series of DJ-fueled invite-only parties in a tent on the sand overlooking the ocean. If you want in, you’ll need to be a member (or a member’s guest) or lucky enough to garner an invite. You could also book a room at the hotel for special access.

Medium Cool: Where The Party Vibe Is Hot

Medium Cool has set up shop in the subterranean space at the Gale hotel in South Beach that was once occupied by hot spot Rec Room. With a slightly more polished interior design, Medium Cool has perfected an ideal nightlife balancing act: It’s a high-energy lounge with a low-key vibe. Run by a local team with an emphasis on cocktails, the energy turns up late night when DJs preside over the intimate space for a crowd ready to flirt and groove. It will no doubt throw some of the best parties during Miami Art Week.

Brother’s Keeper Bar: A Blast From The Past

The team behind Downtown Miami hot spot Lost Boy opened Brother’s Keeper Bar in South Beach this past summer. It promises to be a major stop on the party circuit during Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach. The moody cocktail den with pink and purple neon lighting has a Miami Vice throwback vibe with a curated list of easy-drinking beer and craft cocktails. There’s also a thoughtful food menu by the team behind popular pop-up QP Tapas with a range of creative, locally-inspired dishes, from tuna poke nachos to burgers and fried gator bites.

Follow The Buzz To Hive

Situated on the Mana Wynwood campus from December 5-8, Hive will take the art fair concept to new heights by blending art with music, food, culinary talents and a festive atmosphere in conjunction with Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach. In years past, Hive’s Wynwood pop-ups have included a skate park, sculpture garden and art installations. This year promises to be just as exciting with a variety of brand activations, live music and art and more. Perhaps best of all, tickets are free and come with a drink ticket when you RSVP.

Get Your Kicks At Grails In Wynwood

For a sporty retreat in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District, pop into Grails during Miami Art Week. This buzzy sports bar and restaurant has an emphasis on local beers, handcrafted cocktails and delicious bar bites. It also embraces art with its sneaker-themed indoor lounge featuring rare sneakers and one-of-a-kind artwork. There are even signature Grails sneaker cocktails: drinks are served inside a collectible ceramic shoe. You can also sign up for a custom sneaker workshop hosted by local artist Porti and trick out your kicks.

Mama Tried: You Don’t Have To Try Hard To Have A Good Time

Mama Tried has solidified its place as a perennial Downtown Miami hot spot thanks to the cool crowd enjoying its retro-glam vibes, a central bar and gold globe lighting. Gather for a relaxed drink during happy hour or come by late-night as a DJ amps up the energy and a hip, artsy crowd fills the club, ready to party.

Rosa Sky Rooftop: Party High Above Miami

Situated 22 stories above Brickell near a bend in the Miami River, Rosa Sky Rooftop is an indoor-outdoor lounge awash in pink light and offering dazzling views of the Miami skyline. If you want to feel on top of the world during Miami Art Week, swing by to sip on the signature Rosa Sky cocktail, made with strawberry and lemongrass vodka and garnished with an ice cube molded into the shape of a rose. Rosa Sky Rooftop also serves tapas-style small plates, like playful Cuban “cigars” made with ham, pork, cheese, pickle relish and Dijoinnaise fried up inside a crispy shell.
