International Coastal Cleanup at Biscayne National Park

Join Biscayne National Park for the International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 21, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center. Partnering with VolunteerCleanup.org, UF/IFAS Extension and Florida Sea Grant, the park aims to remove marine debris from the coastline along Elliott Key.
What to Expect:
- Volunteers will take a boat ride to Elliott Key, followed by wading ashore to collect marine debris.
- The organizers will provide all necessary equipment including life jackets, trash bags, gloves and first-aid kits.
Bring Your Own:
- Close-toed shoes for wet conditions
- Bathing suit and clothes that can get wet
- Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
- Reusable water bottle (stay hydrated!)
- Snacks (optional)
