Asser St. Val: Aquatic Incursion-MHEDRAYNGT
This event has passed.
Asser Saint-Val’s Aquatic Incursion-MHEDRAYNGT transforms the International Inn on the Bay into a surreal convergence of art and environmental reflection. Part of the City of Miami Beach’s No Vacancy exhibition, this series of air sculptural installations features amorphous, sea life-inspired forms that integrate with the city’s iconic architecture. The sculptures evoke an underwater aesthetic, exploring the interplay between urban spaces and rising seas, while prompting reflection on human impact as a driver of climate change.
Born in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, Saint-Val is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, installation art and music. His thought-provoking creations have been featured in exhibitions across South Florida and the Caribbean, as well as in international venues. Saint-Val’s artistic practice is informed by research into identity, spirituality and Neuromelanin, creating works that connect personal exploration with broader societal themes.
On view from November 14 to December 12, Aquatic Incursion-MHEDRAYNGT is one of 12 site-specific installations featured in No Vacancy, Miami Beach. Visitors are invited to experience contemporary art in unique settings, exploring the creative dialogue between artists and Miami Beach’s cultural and environmental landscape.
