Looking for somewhere to work out or rejuvenate? You’re in luck, as Miami Beach has a variety of trendy gyms and athletic activities that keep exercise fun. SoulCycle South Beach, located next to 1 Hotel South Beach, is a 2,600-square-foot, 54-bike studio that lets riders burn fat, tone and release stress through high-intensity cardio and choreography to energy-pumping beats – and all on an exercise bike.

Another nearby option is Anatomy Miami Beach, one of the most luxurious health and fitness centers in South Beach. The brainchild of former professional football player Marc Megna, this space has everything a gym-goer could ever need, from countless exercise classes, rooftop yoga and a decked-out weight room to body fat and VO2 max testing, vitamin IV therapy, a spa area with a steam room and an infrared sauna, a spray tanning room, a hot/cold plunge and more.

The Standard Spa takes a holistic approach to the mind, body and soul. One of its main features is a waterfront hydrotherapy playground, where you can float in the infinity pool, sweat out toxins in an aromatherapy steam room, take an Arctic plunge in a Roman waterfall tub or de-stress in a Turkish-style hammam. Many of the top gyms and workout facilities in Miami offer day passes for travelers who are looking to get a workout in while on vacation. A popular pick for celebrities and socialites, Equinox is a high-end club that offers memberships that include access to locations nationwide. If you’re not a member, you can still sign up for a day-pass by contacting a membership advisor, and then try out one of its local clubs.

Adding pampering to your health kick, some of Miami’s hottest hotels provide day-passes at their glamorous fitness centers that will recharge your mind, body and soul. Head to one of the Exhale Spa locations (Miami International Airport or The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour) and take one of the elite core fusion barre or yoga classes. Then detoxify your system with an Acu-Organ Detox, an abdominal massage-meets-acupuncture treatment that enhances energy and helps with digestion.

Another option with more than a dozen locations throughout Miami, LA Fitness, is a popular club with locals. Five-day guest passes are available for those interested in using equipment or participating in fitness classes.

Where To Eat Healthily

When it comes to healthy food options, Miami has plenty of places to choose from. Located in Downtown Miami, Jar + Fork offers a combo of nutrient-rich juices and health-conscious dishes, including vegetarian, vegan and paleo-friendly meals. Head to one of multiple Joe & The Juice locations for more organic cold-pressed juice options, superfood smoothies and artisan coffee.

With locations throughout Miami, Pura Vida is another excellent choice for salads, smoothies, all-day breakfast, and açaí bowls – which locals rave are some of the best in Miami.

Craving a sweet snack? Try Mariana Cortez’s Bunnie Cakes – a vegan, gluten-free and kosher bakery. Located in Doral, it serves large and small cupcakes, doughnuts, small cakes, brownies, sundaes and cookies in local flavors like guava, banana chip loaf, passion fruit and dulce de leche, to name a few.

Take It Outside

With great weather all year in Miami, the outdoors can be your own personal gym. Go for a bike ride in one of the many city, county and state parks or explore a national park and take in the fresh air and unique views of Miami's very own “backyard.”

In Miami Beach, go for a run or stroll along the beachwalk, play a game of sand volleyball at the public beach courts between 7th and 8th streets and Ocean Drive, or wake up early and participate in free beach yoga classes at 3rd Street and Ocean Drive.

Head to Downtown Miami or Brickell for more free outdoor yoga in Bayfront Park or take a picturesque walk along the bay or around Brickell Key. If you're looking to get a bit competitive, participating in a 5K or marathon is a fun option to break a sweat and set a new personal best.
