Miami Marine Stadium
Business Resources
An iconic entertainment venue on Virginia Key, the Miami Marine Stadium was built in 1926 and is currently undergoing Phase 1 of its long-awaited restoration. During its heyday, powerboat races and concerts under the stars drew thousands to the stadium. Memorable historic performances on its floating stage include Queen, The Beach Boys, Steppenwolf, Dave Brubeck, Ray Charles and many more.
The 6,566-seat stadium was designed by Cuban-born architect Hilario Candela. Considered a masterwork of civic mid-century architecture and modern construction, the stadium was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.
Currently, the site around the stadium plays host to multiple, large-scale events and races throughout the year.
