WALLCAST® Concert: Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances

Experience a powerful evening of music under the stars at the New World Symphony’s free WALLCAST® concert on Saturday, January 18, at 7:30 p.m. As the live performance of Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances unfolds inside the New World Center, you can enjoy the concert projected onto the 7,000-square-foot wall in SoundScape Park, with an expanded viewing area provided by the new Mobile Wall.
Conductors Anja Bihlmeier and Molly Turner will lead the New World Symphony through a program that revisits Hollywood’s Golden Age with selections like Erich Korngold’s Main Title from Between Two Worlds and Franz Waxman’s Elegy for Strings. The concert also features Julián Orbón’s Pavana from Tres Versiones Sinfónicas, Arnold Schoenberg’s deeply moving A Survivor from Warsaw and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s final masterpiece, Symphonic Dances.
This free event is part of the Resonance of Remembrance series, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the Holocaust. The free outdoor WALLCAST® concert offers an immersive way to experience this thoughtful and evocative program. No tickets are required.
