Vizcaya's Marine Garden: A Behind the Scenes Guided Tour

On Thursday, November 21, from 11:30 a.m. to noon, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens invites you to a rare, behind-the-scenes experience in the newly restored Marine Garden. After more than 30 years, the iconic peacock statues by master sculptor Gaston Lachaise have returned, offering a unique glimpse into Vizcaya's artistic and historical legacy. This exclusive guided tour, led by Vizcaya’s Lead Conservator, Davina Kuh Jacobi, provides an intimate look at this enchanting garden space, rich with restored elements and untold stories.
Attendees will gain privileged access to areas of the garden typically closed to the public, exploring where art and nature converge in Vizcaya’s design. With insights from the conservator, participants will learn about the techniques and care involved in preserving Vizcaya’s historic elements, as well as the significance of the Marine Garden’s features.
