Tropical Brainstorm Art Exhibition

On Thursday, November 21, Tropical Brainstorm brings the innovative work of artist Gustavo Oviedo to life at The Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach. Presented by the Miami Art Society, this immersive exhibition showcases over 20 new pieces, including paintings, ceramics and collages, inspired by Oviedo's underwater explorations and fascination with natural systems. Known for capturing the interplay between marine life, shipwrecks and human impact on the ocean, Oviedo’s abstract works feature recurring “form families” that mirror coral growth and adaptation. Beyond the exhibit, the event celebrates the launch of Oviedo's latest art book, Tropical Brainstorm, a visual journey through his recent creations and underwater photography.

The evening will also feature Oviedo’s debut fashion collaborations: Controlled Chaos with luxury handbag brand Piper and Skye and a limited-edition outfit with Italian brand A Few Pieces, showcasing his abstract designs in wearable form. A site-specific light installation by Miguel Gonzalez, along with live performances by Cesar Paniagua and Oscar Guardado, will enhance the exhibition’s atmosphere.
