Mar 27, 2025
From: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Digital art and photography intersect in a compelling exploration of femininity, identity and social justice through the works of artists Ruth Patir and Elinor Carucci. Resonant Mindsets/Different Approaches, taking place on Thursday, March 27 at The Gallery at The Betsy Hotel, brings together the featured artists for an illuminating evening celebrating International Women's Month.
Hotel curator and owner Lesley Goldwasser hosts this intimate reception and art opening, where attendees will have the opportunity to engage with both artists in a discussion moderated by James Snyder, Director of the Jewish Museum, NYC. The conversation will delve into the artists' distinct approaches to their craft and the themes that resonate throughout their work.
Patir, whose digital installation [M]otherland gained international attention at the 2024 Venice Biennale, creates work that challenges viewers to consider the intersection of national identity and personal conviction. Carucci's photography, including her acclaimed series The Collars of RBG, captures intimate moments and symbols that speak to female empowerment and perseverance.
