Party on the Plaza: Las Guaracheras

Enjoy a free evening of Afro-Latin music featuring Las Guaracheras, an all-women salsa sextet from Cali, Colombia. On Friday, April 11, at The Moss Center Plaza, these talented musicians will take the stage with their blend of vibraphone, percussion, bass, piano and vocals to deliver a festive performance that encourages dancing, singing and reflection. Their music celebrates joy, memory and transformation, while also advocating for a more inclusive and respectful cultural space for all.

Las Guaracheras have graced prominent stages across Colombia and beyond, including festivals such as Salsa al Parque in Bogotá and Sunfest in Canada. Their international reach culminated in a performance before 12,000 people in Mexico City's Zócalo last year.

This event is part of The Moss Center's Party on the Plaza free concert series and is made possible through the Performing Arts Global Exchange program of Mid Atlantic Arts, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
