MOAD Artist Residency Featuring Loni Johnson

MOAD Projects welcomes Miami-based multi-disciplinary visual artist Loni Johnson for an artist residency at Miami Dade College's Homestead Campus. Johnson will transform the campus gallery into a space for creating new works and will host open studio hours on Thursdays, October 17 and October 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Johnson’s practice, deeply rooted in family history and spiritual traditions, reflects her commitment to nurturing communities. Through movement and ritual, she explores the influence of ancestral and historical memory on how we claim and engage with spaces. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY at Purchase College School of Art and Design.
