Magnus Sodamin: Reflections of Florida Wild
This event has passed.
Magnus Sodamin’s Reflections of Florida Wild transforms the Faena Hotel Miami Beach into a vibrant exploration of nature’s beauty and environmental shifts. Part of the City of Miami Beach’s No Vacancy exhibition, this installation showcases Sodamin’s signature energetic gestures, combining joyful and turbulent elements that reflect his reverence for the natural world. Through a cathartic and spontaneous painting process, the work investigates global environmental narratives, merging spiritual inquiry with dynamic creativity.
Sodamin, a Miami-based artist, draws on a diverse artistic background that includes residencies in Norway, Austria and the Everglades, as well as a BFA in painting from the New World School of the Arts. His previous solo exhibitions, such as Wild Altar and Impressions of Our Landscape, highlight his dedication to exploring the intersection of climate, environment, and artistic expression. His work is featured in collections like the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Jorge M. Pérez Collection.
On view from November 14 to December 12, Reflections of Florida Wild is one of 12 installations featured in No Vacancy, Miami Beach. Visitors are invited to experience this lush, nature-inspired piece alongside other site-specific artworks across South Beach hotels, blending art, culture and environmental reflection in iconic settings.
