Acclaimed violinist Janine Jansen joins the celebrated London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), led by the Sir Antonio Pappano, for an evening performance at the Arsht Center on Sunday, March 2. Presented as part of the Arsht Center's 2024-2025 Knight Masterworks Season - Classical Musical Series, this concert marks the LSO's highly-anticipated debut at the Knight Concert Hall
Founded in 1904, the LSO boasts a rich history of artistic excellence. Under the baton of Sir Antonio Pappano, the orchestra enters a new chapter. Praised for his charismatic leadership and inspiring interpretations, Pappano has been a frequent guest conductor with the LSO since 1996.
Violinist Janine Jansen, known for her sound of "astonishing power and beauty" (The New York Times), will grace the stage as the evening's soloist. The program features Walker's Sinfonia No. 5, Bernstein's Serenade for violin and orchestra, Bernstein's Serenade and Elgar's Enigma Variations.
Public ticket sales begin on September 20.
