This event has passed.
Joshua Aronson’s Florida Boys brings a serene yet thought-provoking presence to the Catalina Hotel & Beach Club as part of the City of Miami Beach’s No Vacancy exhibition. This site-specific installation features the photograph Spring (2023–2024), printed on translucent fabric that transforms with light and movement. Suspended in the hotel lobby, the piece captures a tranquil moment of young men floating in a Florida spring, reflecting themes of unity, tranquility and modern masculinity. Located in Miami Beach, the installation reflects the city's distinctive blend of natural beauty and urban energy, while honoring its history as a sanctuary for queer culture. As light shifts throughout the day and air circulates through the space, the artwork evolves, offering viewers a contemplative and immersive experience.
