Prepare for an evening of samba, jazz and soul at Pinecrest Gardens on Friday, February 28 as Gafieira Rio Miami brings an eclectic mix of musical talent to the historic Banyan Bowl amphitheater. Led by Latin Grammy-winning bassist Diogo Brown, this 11-piece ensemble breathes new life into the samba de gafieira, a lively ballroom dance music tradition from Rio de Janeiro.
The concert will showcase a dynamic fusion of genres, featuring guest performances by multi-Latin Grammy nominee Tony Succar on percussion, vocalist Isa Duarte and world champion ballroom dancers Carine Morais and Rafael Barros. Audiences can expect to hear masterful renditions of classics by Gilberto Gil, Djavan, Caetano Veloso and other iconic Brazilian artists, all delivered with the band's signature blend of funk grooves and jazz improvisation.
This performance is part of Pinecrest Gardens' 2025 Tropical Nights concert series. Single show tickets go on sale in October.
