Select Days
Dec 3 - 10: 10 AM - 7 PM | Dec 12 - 22 (Thu-Sun): Noon - 6 PM
Explore the artistic legacy of Lynne Golob Gelfman at Constructive Arguments: Aesthetic Dialogues with the Work of Lynne Golob Gelfman, on view on select dates through December 22 at 1108 Lincoln Road. Curated by Tobias Ostrander and Natalia Zuluaga, the exhibition highlights Gelfman’s influence on Miami’s evolving art scene through a visual dialogue with eight contemporaries: Olga de Amaral, Loriel Beltrán, Eugenio Espinoza, Gloria Garcia Lorca, Aramis Gutierrez II, Cristina Lei-Rodriguez, Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova and Frances Trombly.
The exhibition pairs Gelfman’s works with those of these artists to explore shared conceptual and stylistic influences rooted in geometric abstraction and constructivist art. Gelfman’s notable series, including thru, sand, burqa, and surface, demonstrate her experimentation with form, texture, and color, reflecting Miami’s urban grid and natural light. This interplay resonates with the practices of her contemporaries, creating a layered exploration of abstraction and modernist traditions.
Open during Miami Art Week and select dates through December, Constructive Arguments celebrates Gelfman’s enduring impact on Miami’s cultural landscape and offers an intimate look at the connections between her work and that of her peers.
